Ms. Cicogna became a long term substitute Art Teacher at GDRHS at the start of Quarter 4 (2019-2020 school year). At this time schools across the globe were switching to remote learning, to ensure safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Adapting her teaching practice to fit this new format of learning, Ms. Cicogna took on a choice-based remote art classroom! She taught two foundational art classes: Drawing & Painting and Art Explorations, along with Junior/Senior Portfolio and AP.
Students pursued weekly bootcamps/prompts that aligned with standards, and were encouraged to explore and experiment with materials found in their own homes to create works of art. With the use of Instagram, students were able to post documentation of their process/projects and comment upon each others works.
