Caddy Cicogna was named to receive the 2020 Eastern Region Preservice Art Educator award by the National Art Education Association. The recipient of the award is decided through peer review and recognizes “exemplary contributions, service, and achievements of an outstanding NAEA member.” The award was officially presented at the 2020 NAEA National Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota, March 26-28 (which was canceled due to Covid-19).
“This award is being given to recognize excellence in professional accomplishment and service by a dedicated art educator,” says NAEA President Thom Knab. “Caddy Cicogna exemplifies the highly qualified art educators active in education today: leaders, teachers, students, scholars, and advocates who give their best to their students and the profession.”
